DATES

Please click the drop down box's for more information.

When is the best time to apply?

As soon as possible. We already have many applications for the next academic year and there is a waiting list for some age groups.

Can students go home at weekends?

Our boarders are all full boarders who stay with us on a permanent basis during term time, however, we have exeat weekends approximately every three weeks where students can, if they wish, go home. Sixth Form students are allowed out at weekends with their parent’s permission. Younger students are also allowed out occasionally, with their parents, if their Houseparent’s give special permission.

Can students stay in school during the holidays?

There is no provision for care outside of term-times unless there are public exams at that time. This does not include exeat weekends, when the school/boarding houses remain open.

Is there a special timetable for leaving and returning during exeats?

Yes. On the day an exeat starts, classes begin at 8am, each lasts 30 minutes and finish at 12:30pm. On the day an exeat ends, students are expected to be back at their boarding houses before 8pm.

Do KTJ accept Day-Students?

Yes. Day-students go home every day; arrive at KTJ every morning, and are also assigned rooms in their respective boarding houses.

I like KTJ is awesome because it has games, activities, education and rabbits!
