Our purpose-built Sixth Form Centre is an excellent facility for A level students.  It combines a set of teaching rooms on the upper floor and a series of research and entertainment rooms on the ground floor, including a kitchen, a social area, games room (with fussball, pool and table tennis), a careers room stocked with university and general careers material and an internet library with an array of flat-screen monitors and computers, with broadband service available throughout the school working day. 

The onsite Head of Sixth Form oversees the centre and acts as a focal point for university entrance advice, A level coursing and academic support.  She is aided by a sixth form committee, which organizes a range of social and sporting events and she runs a team of tutors (all of whom are very experienced A level teachers) who provide a very thorough level of support to all our sixth formers, guiding them through the university applications process.  The school’s A level results have always been very impressive, with many sixth formers progressing to world-ranked universities such as Oxford, Cambridge, LSE, Imperial and Princeton. 

Throughout the academic year there is a stream of university visitors visiting the sixth form centre who provide information about the academic opportunities available to our sixth formers; this is complemented by our annual Careers Convention where a wide range of educational agencies set up stands in the school and advise our students on the options available to them.  

The sixth form is the life-blood of the school and we expect our A level students to become fully involved in the wide range of clubs, societies, sporting and social events provided, allowing them to become the rounded and mature young men and woman so sought after by international and local universities.  The sixth form centre is an excellent base for achieving this aim.
