Of the 554 students, about half are Malaysians, with the rest coming from most countries in the region with a significant number coming from Indonesia, Bangladesh, Taiwan and Korea. There is a majority of boys, but the ratio is 3:2 and the girls have many opportunities to stamp their identity on student life. The senior forms are somewhat larger and there are about 150 students in the two years of the Sixth Form.

Liberalisation of access to international schools for Malaysians has seen a number of  Malaysians join the School for the O Level/IGCSE courses in Forms 4 and 5.
