:: Admissions Policies
 
A : Registration/ Application
 
1.
1. All students wishing to be considered for enrolment into Form 1-5 (Year 7-11) are required to sit for an Entrance Examination. (Please refer to Appendix A for details). GCE ‘A’-Level students are exempted from Entrance Exams; places in the Sixth Form are offered on the basis of forecast SPM or IGCSE results.
2.

A prior appointment should be made before coming for the entrance exam.

3.

A Registration Fee of RM300 must accompany the Registration Form. This is not refundable. The latest school report and a testimonial from the present school must be enclosed with the Registration Form. (Please refer to Appendix A for details)

  
B : Offer & Acceptance
 
1.
An offer of a place is not solely dependent on passing the entrance exam.
2.

Confirmation of acceptance of our offer should be accompanied by the payment of a deposit of RM20,000 and the Acceptance Fee of RM3,000 within the deadline stated in the offer letter.

  
C : Payment of Fees & Other Charges
 
1.

Fees are payable on a termly basis; all fees and charges shall be payable at the beginning of the term to which they relate. A 10% interest payment from the date of the original account may be charged on accounts outstanding after 7 days.

2.

A student may not start a new term if the previous term’s fees & charges have not been paid, unless the Principal or the Board of Trustees expressly waives this condition. In special circumstances, parents are asked to write in confidence to the Principal.

3.

Parents shall pay to KTJ such fees and charges for the education and maintenance of their child and for the supply of goods and services as shall be determined by the Board of Trustees from time to time.

4.

KTJ will not bear any outstation cheque charges. Payment by credit cards may incur extra charges.

5.

Miscellaneous charges will be billed at the end of each term; these will vary according to an individual students’ activities.

 
D : Refund/ Withdrawal/Expulsion
 
1.

Parents should give KTJ written notice of their intention to withdraw their child from school at least one clear term prior to the date on which the student is actually withdrawn. In default of such notice, the Deposit of RM20,000 will be forfeited.

2.
The deposit of RM20,000 may not be used to offset any outstanding fees in a student’s final term.

3.

KTJ reserves the right to discipline, suspend or expel any student whose lack of academic progress or whose behaviour is considered by the Principal to be unacceptable. Where any student is expelled the deposit and any other fees for the remainder of the term shall be forfeited.
