Secondary School Student Event

The school Forensics club had another successful year at the South East Asia Forensics tournament held at The International School of Kuala Lumpur. For the seventh year in a row we won the award for the best competing school. The club had finalists in the Impromptu speaking and Extemporaneous speaking events. We also were very proud of our medal winners, taking Silver and Gold medals for debate speakers, Gold for Original Oratory, Gold for Extemporaneous speaking, Impromptu speaking and Debate. Added to this a member of the club one Gold for Best Debater and Best participant of the tournament. Well done to Thevesh, Aaron and Imran for their record breaking success.

We were also proud to create a partnership with The International School of Kuala Lumpur. For the first time in the 38 year history of the tournament an event was held away from ISKL. In late January KTJ hosted the preliminary rounds of the SEA Forensics competition. For two days schools from all over Malaysia competed for a place in the debate event at ISKL. Many thanks to all of the team members who worked so wonderfully together to create an event that was an absolute success, giving many young Malaysians the chance to compete at the SEA Forensics tournament that they would not have otherwise had. KTJ has every right to be proud of the Forensics team. They have been wonderful ambassadors for the school.
