The School has been closely monitoring the situation with COVID-19 in Malaysia and within the area in which KTJ is situated. The School is encompassed within a zone which includes Seremban. This zone has had a rising number of cases and has been recently identified as red zone. We have also been in touch with the State Education Department who are strongly encouraging schools in the area to move to online learning.

As a result, KTJ has made the decision to transition to online learning starting from Friday 23rd October. Day students must remain at home, and we are encouraging all boarding students to remain at KTJ.

We would like to assure parents that their child will be able to continue their education during this period. Secondary students will follow their usual timetable for the rest of this week, accessing their online learning through Zoom and Google Classroom. Primary students will access their learning through Google Classroom and Seesaw, with daily support offered by their teachers via Zoom. Details of arrangements for teaching and learning starting from next week will be delivered to parents very soon.

The School will continue to run external examinations and students may travel to KTJ to sit these. Those students travelling from a CMCO will require a Permit to Travel letter. In most cases, these letters have already been issued. But please do contact [email protected]if you require one.

We strongly believe that this preemptive measure is in the best interest of our students, staff and wider KTJ community. Thank you for your support and understanding.
