Congratulations to KTJ alumni, Yoon Wei Ling and her team for successfully putting on the 8th Annual ELF Conference from July 24-25th.

As President of the London School of Economics Students’ Union Malaysia Club, Yoon Wei Ling led a team of 24 undergrads (quite a number of whom were also ex-KTJers) to produced a two-day event featuring two panel discussions and a case study competition on the second day. The event attracted over 400 attendees from around Malaysia and beyond, including a pleasing number of our current students, some of them serving as Student Ambassadors.

The first panel, The Next Malaysian Unicorn, focused on the existing start-up ecosystem in Malaysia and the resources required for success. The second panel, Leadership in Crisis, was moderated by KTJ Deputy Head of 6th Form Mark Disney, discussing the roles and responses of our nation’s leaders during the global pandemic and how these have impacted the business sector. The panellists included the Chairman of Bursa Malaysia, the CEOs of Airbus Malaysia and MRT, as well as the Managing Partner of Ernst & Young.
