Bali and Back

Notwithstanding an earlier postponement, 26 students traveled to Bali for four days at the start of the holidays. Mr Krishnan led a trip which involved seeing many of the sights in this wonderful island.

Outward Bound

The traditional Lower Sixth trip to the Outward Bound School at Lumut was another great success at the beginning of July. 78 students undertook the demanding range of exercises including trekking on Pulau Pangkor, sea-kayaking and solo-camping. At the end of the ten-day course, our Lower Sixth formers were fitter and more confident about how they could cope in different circumstances as a result of their experiences.

Visit to Spain

24 intrepid students accompanied by Ms Esmeralda and Mr Adrian travelled to Spain for an exciting eight-day tour. They visited Madrid, Toledo, Granada, Sevilla and Cordoba in a hectic schedule.

The high-lights included seeing the Goya exhibition at the Prado and visiting Real Madrid’s ground at Bernabeu.

Climbing the Squash Ladder

Congratulations to Rayveni and Mugilan for their outstanding achievements at the Indonesian Open squash tournament in June! Rayveni was the Champion in the Under 17 girls’ competition, while Mugilan was the silver medallist in the Under 15 boys’ section.

Speech Day 28th June 2008

Speech Day

KTJ celebrated the end of another successful academic year at Speech Day on June 28^th. Over 100 students received awards, with the coveted Tunku Naquiyuddin All-Rounder’s Awards going to Nurul Nadia and Chan Zhong Yang.

Sadly our guest of honour, YAB Dato Seri Utama Hj Mohamad b Hj Hasan, Menteri Besar of Negeri Sembilan, was required at Putrajaya at the last minute, but he was ably represented by his wife, YM Raja Datin Seri Salbiah bt Tengku Nujumuddin. With the Trustees represented by YAM Tunku Dara Tunku Tan Sri Naquiah bt Tuanku Ja’afar, the Principal felt very much in a minority on the stage.

Speech Day was attended by a large number of distinguished guests and parents and proved to be a fitting climax to a busy and successful year.
