KTJ has made the decision to move learning online starting from Tuesday 17th March, due to increasing concerns regarding COVID-19.

We would like to emphasis that no COVID-19 cases have been detected at KTJ, but we believe we must remain vigilant and the health and safety of our school community comes first.

Day parents should collect their children as normal. Boarding students can be collected by their parents at the end of the school day on Monday 16th or on Tuesday 17th March. Boarding students who are unable to go home can remain in school and will continue to be well looked after.

Primary

The Primary School will provide remote learning for students via Google Classroom or Seesaw. The Head of Primary, Mr James, will be providing further information on how this will work via WhatsApp.

Secondary

The Secondary School will provide schoolwork via Google Classroom on Tuesday and Wednesday, and then from Thursday will continue all lessons as per the timetable online via Zoom. Further details and guidance on this will be provided over the next two days, but it is expected that all students ‘attend’ all online lessons and a register will be taken.

Schoolwork for Tuesday 17th March will be available online by 8.30am.

We will regularly update parents and students on the situation. If you have any questions, Primary parents should contact their classroom teachers, and Secondary parents should contact their child's Houseparent.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter. We remain committed to ensuring that all students at KTJ make good progress with their education throughout this difficult period.
