Rahman Senior Day House Officially Opened During KTJ Speech Day 2026
Kolej Tuanku Ja'afar (KTJ) proudly marked a significant milestone during its 2026 Speech Day celebrations with the official opening of the Rahman Senior Day House in the presence of our Royal Founders, distinguished guests, parents, students and alumni.
Although the House first opened its doors in December 2025, Speech Day provided a fitting opportunity to formally commemorate the occasion and celebrate the newest addition to the KTJ community. The House is named in honour of Yang Amat Mulia Tunku 'Abdu'l Rahman Aminu'llah bin Tunku Imran, son of KTJ's Royal Founder, YAM Tunku Tan Sri Imran ibni Almarhum Tuanku Ja'afar, and great-grandson of Malaysia's first Yang di-Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Rahman.
In a special ceremony, Tunku 'Abdu'l Rahman unveiled a commemorative plaque, officially marking the House's place in KTJ's history and highlighting the school's enduring connection to its royal heritage.
Rahman House joins KTJ's vibrant House system, providing a dedicated space for Senior Day students while strengthening the sense of community, belonging and healthy competition that lies at the heart of school life.
A distinctive feature of the new House is its striking falcon emblem, designed by KTJ student Jaden Nowuram. Chosen to represent power, precision and freedom, the falcon embodies the values and aspirations of the House and its members. Rahman House is further distinguished by its black House colour, symbolising strength, unity and sophistication.
The opening ceremony brought together members of the wider KTJ community, with parents, students, alumni and guests joining the celebrations. The occasion reflected both KTJ's proud heritage and its continued commitment to providing exceptional facilities and opportunities for current and future generations of students.
As KTJ continues to grow and evolve, the opening of Rahman Senior Day House stands as an important chapter in the school's story, one that honours the past while looking confidently towards the future.
