At KTJ Primary, we are very proud of the strong partnerships that we build with our parent community. We realise how important these relationships are in helping children make excellent progress in an enjoyable and welcoming environment.

We recognise the need to communicate clearly and effectively with parents and so establishing constructive and meaningful communication channels is extremely important to us from the moment a family first connects with us in the Primary School.

As a result of our commitment to this, we are proud to have an extremely dedicated Parent Teacher Committee (PTC) here at KTJ Primary.

PTC supports the whole KTJ community with a range of inspiring projects, initiatives and celebrations throughout the year. Examples of these include:

  • Festivals and Celebrations - organising events to celebrate KTJ’s diverse range of cultures. These have included our Deepavali Disco, Christmas Party mornings, Chinese New Year performances and Hari Raya ‘Open House’ themed fun days.
  • Outreach and Community Projects - collecting money and gifts for various local and national charities as well as raising awareness for good causes and projects.
  • Academic and Curriculum Support - helping to fund exciting and engaging educational experiences for our students such as an interactive, 360° Science Planetarium.
  • Sports and Events - running Saturday morning sports sessions and supporting school sports competitions such as Mini Fobisia and Sports Day.

In addition to this, the PTC is an extremely warm, caring, and supportive team which encourages new and current parents to join in and support the School. As well as a great way to work alongside the Primary School, it is also a fantastic opportunity to meet new friends who help to make up our community.

There are many ways for parents to get involved with the PTC, ranging from small volunteering projects to holding a formal place within the organising committee.

The PTC meets regularly with representatives from the Primary Leadership Team and also sends out frequent communications to parents via year group WhatsApp groups, newsletters and the dedicated PTC noticeboard by the Primary School foyer.

You can connect with the Primary PTC via email or through the KTJ PTC Parent Facebook Group
