KTJ's football development was on full display at the AIMS Red Division Over 15 Football Championships.

Our Boys team clinched their second consecutive Red Division championship title at hosts ISKL, showcasing tactical discipline, a winning mentality, and collective resilience, whilst our Girls secured an impressive 2nd place- the highest result in the last five years!

Head of Secondary PE, Peter Moss, shared this write up:

Defensive Masterclass: KTJ’s back five remained impenetrable,  a testament to their cohesion and defensive quality. Anchored by the commanding presence of Lorcan, Riku, Ishaan and Marcus, the unit demonstrated composure under pressure and intelligent positioning throughout the campaign.

Midfield Engines and Tactical Elevation: Central pivots Captain Jiwoo and Abu stepped up a level, dictating tempo and transitioning play with precision. Their ability to link with the defense and break up possession proved pivotal in KTJ’s dominance.

Winning Moments at Both Ends: Goalkeeper Shanil delivered crucial contributions, including a vital penalty save in the final shootout, while Matthew, Jase, and Justin formed a dynamic attacking trio that consistently threatened opposition defences. Matthew led the front line with tenacity and adaptability, ensuring KTJ remained unpredictable and potent.

Clinical Under Pressure: In the decisive final shootout against Alice Smith, KTJ held their nerve. Five flawlessly executed penalties from Matthew, Lorax, Kevin, Jase, and Riku sealed the championship, underlining the squad’s mental strength and technical proficiency.

🏆 Champions Again: KTJ’s back-to-back titles reflect not only their talent but their growth, adaptability, and unity. From defence to attack, every player contributed to a campaign marked by discipline, resilience, and championship pedigree.

Nadia, our Over 15's Girls Captain gave us this overview:

I’m pleased to share that the O15 girls’ football team secured 2nd place in AIMS Football - the best result in the last five years and a remarkable achievement for everyone involved. Despite an early defeat in our first match, we kept our heads high and bounced back with two back-to-back wins against GIS and ISP. Everyone played their part, with a special mention to Li En and Riane for getting on the scoresheet. We entered the tournament as underdogs, but our determination and teamwork carried us through.
