Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar (KTJ) unveiled its new website today at www.ktj.edu.my in conjunction with its 30th anniversary. The School opened its doors in 1991 with just over 100 students and today has over 1,000 students between the ages of 3 and 19 years old.

As a leading, British-style day and boarding international school in the region, KTJ understands the importance of delivering a high-quality experience for families in an increasingly technology-led world.

The creation of the new website was led by the Marketing & Admissions Department and is an expression of three themes in the School’s Vision 2030 strategy, which are ‘learning for a global future’, ‘extending our reach’ and ‘developing inspiring environments’.

Research shows that consumers increasingly discover and research new products and services on their phone before moving to a larger screen for in-depth research. This led to the School’s new website being designed with the user interface and experience in mind by ensuring a seamless experience across different screen sizes.

Consumption of video content globally continues to rise and so the new website is visually driven and makes use of a lot more video content to engage visitors. In addition to a social media feed from the School’s social media channels, an interactive virtual tour is available for visitors to explore the campus and learn more about the nation’s preferred boarding school.

“We embarked on this journey last year with our partner Interactive Schools, with the objectives of making it easier for prospective and existing families to get the information they need about KTJ and to showcase our wide range of school activities by connecting our social media platforms. There is a lot to discover at KTJ and we put a great deal of thought into how best to take families on a journey of discovery. I’m also pleased that KTJ’s refreshed branding is showcased in the new website because this is usually the first touchpoint for new families,” said KTJ Principal, Dr Glenn Moodie.

“Our new website also highlights the school’s new strapline, Make It, which encapsulates KTJ’s role as a catalyst of growth for students to achieve their dreams. This also relates to our vision of being the school of choice in South East Asia, empowering students to become responsible leaders of a sustainable, global community,” he continued.

Situated on 80 acres in the countryside just an hour south of Kuala Lumpur, students are able to take advantage of the wide range of extra-curricular activities offered at KTJ, which are designed to offer them a holistic education.

“One of the first things families notice when they come for a tour of the school is just how large and well-appointed the campus is, and what that means for students with different interests. There is something for everyone and students also discover new interests very quickly at KTJ. The new strapline “Make It” is a great way for us to communicate to families that their child will be nurtured and encouraged to reach their full potential at KTJ”, added Jagdish Singh, Director of Marketing & Admissions.

KTJ is accepting applications for Term 1 in September 2021 and on-site tours are available with strict health and safety standard operating procedures. Academic, music and sports scholarships are available and applications must be submitted by April 1. Please contact us for more information.
