Dato’ Richard Small has been a member of Board of Trustees of KTJ since 2009. He is currently involved in educational consultancy as an interviewer for UK medical and dental degrees, as a Governor of Kolej Yayasan UEM and as a Council Member of Outward Bound School Malaysia. He is a Director of MABECS Sdn. Bhd., and is on the Advisory Board of LeapEd Services Sdn. Bhd., formerly a subsidiary of Khazanah Nasional. Richard has lived and worked in Malaysia for more than 40 years, starting as a secondary school teacher in Selangor in 1979. He founded Ipoh Learning and Training Institute (ILTI) in 1985. He has worked for a number of British universities, and was Headmaster of Kolej Yayasan UEM, the A Level college in Lembah Beringin, from 2003 to 2008. Richard holds Masters degrees from both Cambridge and London Universities in the UK, in Modern Languages, Applied Linguistics and Language and Literature in Education.
